Content Management

Editing your website doesn’t have to be a nightmare. Our websites come with a Content Management System, which allows you to edit and publish content. But we don’t stop there, the solution we implement has to be enjoyable and attractive to use, simple to navigate. By the way, you don’t need to have a new site, we can always add a Content Management System to your existing website.

It is important that you won’t be put off updating your site by the tool that allows you to do so.

We’ve worked with content management systems for over a decade, sometimes creating them bespoke for specific websites, but mostly working with the best products available at the time.

There are plenty of expensive and somewhat obscure content management products out there which are generally best avoided. Given what is available, we believe it makes the most sense to use content management systems that are open source or low cost, but at the same time, extremely widely used, long standing, highly rated and well supported.

For most small to medium sized websites, we implement a little content management system, which give complete control over all of the site text, images, and other content. It always goes down so well with our clients who are always surprised at how simple it is to use, and is therefore a pleasure for us to hand over for clients.

When the website requires something more powerful and flexible, but nevertheless still straightforward to use, we implement another product for which we could quote a line up of well known significant organisations such as the BBC who use it!

Such content management systems are extensible and we can decide which system is best for the client and project, and we can extend as much as is required, using third party plugins, or even writing our own.

Sometimes, the requirements might be more bespoke, requiring a completely custom extension to the website or a fully custom web application. As we have a long standing web development background, this is quite within our reach. Read more about web development
